More than ever, Irish couples are opting to get a wedding videographer. In fact, we have even heard stories of some couples choosing to get a videographer over a photographer, rather than alongside one.

The Regret

When it comes to your wedding, budgets are nearly always stretched and getting a wedding videographer is often one of the very last things to be booked. There is a reason however for which ‘not getting a wedding videographer’ is the number one regret Irish couples have after their wedding day.I will admit that I am naturally biased when it comes to this topic but it does make sense. There are some incredibly precious moments that are best captured in video rather than by photo. That said, I would never argue against getting a photographer over a videographer. They really are two very different products that complement each other in perfectly.

Why Is Getting A Wedding Video Important?

One of the most amazing parts of your wedding video is often the speeches. While some people hate speeches they really are such a large part of your wedding. Hearing stories from the Father of the Bride or the Best Man can really be such a wonderful and fun part of the day. Another part of the day that passes so quickly is the ceremony. Being able to both see and hear your vows again and again is really special.

The most common feedback from couples is that their video captured elements that the couple didn’t even see. Your wedding day goes by in a blink of an eye and it is so difficult to take it all in. Having a wedding video to look back on helps you relive those moments and cherish them forever.

From a personal point of view my favourite part of the wedding day is the morning prep. It’s always so nice for you and your other half to look back on each others morning.

Wedding videos make for precious family heirlooms. In years to come, it will be very poignant to see footage of the people who played a special part in your wedding day. This is particularly true for those special people who may no longer be with you. For me, this is really the most important part of my job as your wedding videographer. Capturing people and moments that will hold a special place in our couples hearts for years to come.
